A Professionally Skilled Workforce acts has a multiplier effect on the economy
While India has a very large workforce, it is a well known fact that the newly passed graduates from colleges are not readily employable due to poor professional skills. This results in significant impact on the quality of the services across various streams.
The “Skill India”or “National Skill Development Mission of India”is a campaign launched by our Honorable Prime Minister 5 years ago with the aims to have a professionally skilled workforce for various industries and services.
The Foundation is working with various skill development centres in this field. Presently, the focus is on providing training to Welding technicians, Women in rural areas and training young individuals for providing Home care services for the sick / disabled patients and the elderly population. We have tied up with two local skill development centres. These provide residential facilities and provide the neseccary training. Most of these courses are for 3 to 6 months.
